Rodbourne Cheney Primary School and Swindon Borough Council are launching a new nursery provision. The nursery, which is currently run by an external organisation, will open in September 2019.
Located at the site of Rodbourne Cheney Primary School in Swindon, the nursery will offer 80 places for children across both morning and afternoon sessions. They will enjoy a stimulating and engaging curriculum, thrive in an outstanding learning environment, and have access to a variety of the school’s resources, including a large playing field and wildlife area.
Parents will also benefit from the close link between the nursery and the school, as they are given access to Rodbourne Cheney’s wide-ranging support services.
The nursery provision is to be delivered by practitioners and leaders who currently work at Rodbourne Cheney Primary School and have helped support and maintain the school’s ‘outstanding’ Ofsted rating. They will harness their knowledge and experience of primary school teaching to prepare children at the nursery for a smooth transition into full-time education.
The providers of the school’s current nursery provision are relocating, and by launching its own nursery provision, Rodbourne Cheney is offering the parents of children who currently attend the nursery an alternative to being displaced.
Joining Rodbourne Cheney Nursery will ensure that parents are not required to alter their current travel arrangements. Additionally, their children will not be unsettled by a change of environment, and they will continue to enjoy the nurturing family atmosphere that the nursery already upholds.
