Many children dream of training with a professional football team. At Rodbourne Cheney Primary School, we’ve teamed up with Swindon Town FC to make that dream a reality.
Throughout this school year, children from all age groups will take part in coaching sessions hosted by Swindon Town FC. At regular intervals, the year group involved in the sessions rotates so that every child gets the chance to learn from the qualified, professional coaches involved in the scheme.
Our young footballers have really enjoyed the sessions they’ve had so far. Children involved in the school football team have also been very excited to put what they have learned from the expert coaches into practice on the pitch.
Competitive sports is a fun, exciting, and challenging way for children to stay active. It also teaches them the benefits of teamwork, practice, and good sportsmanship.
Physical education is an important part of the curriculum at our school, and we are very grateful for everyone at Swindon Town FC who has helped make sports even more exciting for our pupils.
We wish The Robins the best of luck this season as they continue to push for promotion from League 2.
