Rodbourne Cheney is delighted to announce that we are launching a new nursery provision for the 2019-20 academic year. The nursery, which is currently run by Learning Tree Pre-School, will open in September and offer 80 places for children across morning and afternoon sessions.
Located at our school’s site, the nursery will offer children access to a variety of resources, including a large school field and wildlife area. Parents will also benefit from the close link between the nursery and our school, as they are given access to our wide-ranging support services.
Spending time in such close proximity to our school gives children an insight into full-time education. They will become more familiar with school life and look forward to the next step of their education, rather than fearing it.
The nursery provision is to be delivered by practitioners and leaders who currently work at our school and have helped support and maintain our ‘outstanding’ Ofsted rating. Their knowledge and understanding of primary teaching empowers them to further prepare the nursery children for the transition into full-time education.
Parents who currently have children attending the nursery and choose to apply for a place at the new provision will not see their normal routine disrupted, as travel arrangements will remain the same. Equally, children will not be unsettled by a change of environment, and they will continue to enjoy the nurturing family atmosphere that the nursery already upholds.
